As seen on TV !
For the many of you hooked on SkyLiving's 'Four Weddings' would have seen a local wedding featured recently! Taking place in the beautiful surrounds of The Buckerell Lodge on Topsham Road, episode 10 of Season 3 saw Chivonne and Steven get hitched and featured flowers by us! Poppy's provided the Bridal bouquet, Bridesmaid's bouquets, table flowers, button holes and ceremony flowers with a theme of 'classic white and green' with calla lilies and large-headed roses. After some stiff competition from the other brides, but positive feedback about our flowers Chivonne and Steven's wedding stole the show and won the prize of a luxury honeymoon. Congratulations to them both - we were happy to be a part of your special day.
Poppys Of Exeter through to the final of Westcountry Wedding Awards 2011
This year Poppys Of Exeter made it through to the final of the Westcountry Wedding Awards. Margaret, Gemma, Natasha and Jacqui attended the glitzy awards ceremony in Plymouth and although we didn't win this year, we'll be working hard to come away with the shiny prize next year. A massive thank you to all the brides who voted for us, getting us into the final.
Poppys on BBC national news!
After the Express & Echo featured an article on our 'dare to be different' valentine promotion last week the BBC news both local and national have been broadcasting the story. Camera crews visited the shop on Thursday and interviewed Margaret about the reasons behind deciding to opt out of selling the usual red roses. The team at Poppys have been so pleased with the decision and it has been a fantastic success. We have aquired new customers as well as our all important regulars who have been very supportive and happy to try something new.
March 2010 - Poppys appointed official florist for Royal Visit to Exeter
We were privileged to have been appointed as the preferred Florist to decorate the offices of St. Loyes Foundation in Exeter city centre. Her majesty the Queen is patron of this charitable trust which provides training and employment services for disabled people. Together with the Duke of Edinburgh, her Majesty toured the facilities and unveiled a plaque to mark the event. She was also presented with a very special posy of "Poppys" flowers proudly arranged by our Gemma.

March 2010 - Breaking News!!
We've just been accepted for "The Good Florist Guide", a web based directory of the finest Florists in the U.K..This prestigious accolade is only awarded to florists who really make the grade and allows customers to have an extra level of confidence that they are buying from the best. Each florist shop invited to be in the guide has to pass a rigorous evaluation process before being approved. This meant that Poppys had to submit a detailed description of their floristry business, including range available and services offered as well as images of the shop, their design work, their team and even the delivery vehicle!
But GFG shops aren't just some of the best looking shops, they also offer the very best value when it comes to buying bespoke floristry and flowers because not only are they true craftsmen but have the very best product knowledge to make sure the flowers and plants you buy from them will last for ages...
